Rain Forest Farm is dedicated to the pursuit of simple, self-sufficient living. Nearly every square inch of the property is planted with food plants: bananas, sweet potatoes, kale, chinese vegetables, taro and too many to list. The owners believe in making a light footprint on the earth. Consequently they use a composting toilet, small solar electric system, rain water barrels, simple, basic kitchen, and an outdoor shower. If you are looking for a fancy place, this is not it. The two structures consist of a solid, two story wooden building with big open windows and lots of light. This building serves as bedrooms and storage for the farmers and their helpers. A separate kitchen/bath/storage building is towards the rear of the property. The buildings are un-permitted.
